Death toll from coronavirus climbs to 59

 

Kathmandu: Health authorities have confirmed that an 18-year-old girl who died on Monday was infected with coronavirus.

The girl was suffering from diarrhea and her family members took her to the hospital after her situation became critical,. However, she died on the way to National Medical College in Birgunj.

Her swab sample was collected and taken to Narayani Hospital for further tests.

According to Madan Upadhyaya, medical superintendent of Birgunj-based Narayani Hospital, the report turned out positive. With this, the number of deaths from coronavirus in Nepal has reached 59.

Altogether 13 Covid-19 patients have died in Parsa alone.
