Office of the presidency in question

नेपालखोज २०७७ साउन ६ गते ०:३५

Kathmandu: Conflict in the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and its hobnobbing with Sheetal Niwas has pushed President Bidhya Bhandari into another controversy. Being in a ceremonial position, the President is supposed to be neutral. Though Former President Ram Baran Yadav was close to the Nepali Congress party, while in office, he did not get into such controversy during his presidency. However, President Bhandari has been acting more like NCP’s advisor.

By doing so President Bhandari is violating her constitutional duty. The constitution does not see presidential office indulging in party affairs. It is unfortunate that such a high office has submerged into an unhealthy controversy if continued may prove dearly to the republic of Nepal.
