YouTube removes more than 11 million videos
Washington: YouTube has removed 11,400,000 videos in the second quarter of this year.
According to a press release issued by the company, those videos were against the standard of YouTube.
The company said that the videos were removed on the basis of reports from viewers and evaluation from the company.
According to YouTube, those videos were removed between April to June of 2020.
Earlier in 2019, only 9,000,000 videos were removed. The company had to remove more number of videos compared to previous years, mentions the press release.
“Our priority is to be responsible towards the society and humanity. The videos which have been removed have violated ethics,” mentions the press release.
With the increasing popularity of social media and increasing number of customers, people have been misusing the video platform by publishing unethical and deceptive contents. Following these reports, YouTube has been continuously removing such contents.
