Dairy industry faces ‘loss’ of Rs 20 billion

Kathmandu: Milk and dairy industry claimed that they faced a loss of Rs 20 billion because of the lockdown.

The milk entrepreneurs said that they have lost 60 percent market due to the restrictions imposed by the government.

The entrepreneurs faced loss of Rs 20 billion from March 24 till now. The entrepreneurs shared the data during a virtual session organized by the Association of Nepali Agricultural Journalists.

Dawa Dorje Lama, Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperative of Bagmati Province, said that the farmers and milk entrepreneurs must find innovative ways to sustain in this situation.
