New Delhi: Most of the employees in India have preferred working from home even post-Covid 19.

A survey report by Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) has shown that 74 percent of regular staff would like to continue with same system of work from home.  The survey was conducted across eight major cities of India including New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Pune.

One of main reasons for this is reportedly because of lack of confidence to commute in public transport. Although all the states in India have restarted services like public buses, metro trains, people are not yet comfortable to use them.

According to the survey, only 21 percent of the respondents are willing to use public transportation for work.

The report shows that WFH has not only helped the employees but also the companies. WFH has reduced the operational cost like electricity, space rent and other expenses.
