13 year old Christian girl forced to marry Muslim man rescued

Agency: A 13-year Christian girl who was forced to marry a Muslim man has been rescued. The girl has been rescued after nearly a month after being abducted by Ali Azhar.

The court had failed to address the issue as the girl had given a fake statement that she was 18. She said that she was willing to marry. It is reported that she said this out of pressure from campaign groups.

The Catholic Church leaders in Pakistan and human rights group has been protesting that the girl has been forced to give statement, so the court’s ruling should be reconsidered. Citizen also protested on the street demanding the reconsideration.
