Agency: Twitter has banned the account of British conspiracy theorist David Icke for violating Twitter’s rule regarding Covid-19 misinformation.
According to BBC, the action has come six months after Facebook and YouTube took similar action.
Recently, Icke has been criticizing Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Sr Anthony Fauci, US infectious disease expert and philanthropist Bill Gates, writes BBC.
Over the recent months he also made false claims saying that 5G mobile phone network is linked to the spread of the virus.
Icke, who is 68-year-old, had 382,000 followers on Twitter.
Earlier, Twitter had blocked another British conspiracy theorist, Kate Shemirani. Her account was banned on Thursday with the same explanation for the ban.
