Minister Khatiwada demands effective work for Digital Nepal

Kathmandu: Minister of Information and Communication Yubraj Khatiwada has directed the government officials to work transparently for Digital Nepal campaign.

During a farewell and welcome event in the ministry, he requested the officials and all other stakeholders to work effectively and efficiently to achieve the target.

“There has been a rapid development in mass communication. This has been possible due to digital development,” he added, “But we need to work more.” He demanded the new portals to maintain accuracy, balance and credibility while publishing and broadcasting news.

Khatiwada informed about the process of the regulation act and laws related to communication to newly appointed secretary Hari Prashad Bashyal. He directed Bashyal to move forward with the process of forming regulations.

Bashyal vowed to perform all his roles and work for the welfare of the public. Director-General of Information and Broadcasting Department Lekhnath Sharma and Krishna Murari Neupane, director-general of Postal Service Department had been given farewell in the program.
