Govt preparing to release expenditure on coronavirus   

 

Kathmandu: The government is preparing to release the expenditure details spent on prevention and treatment of coronavirus.

The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has been seeking the expenditure reports from the concerned government bodies.

All the stakeholders have been directed to furnish the details of budget spent on coronavirus prevention and treatment by mid-August. The government has directed the federal, province and local units to submit the expenditure detail.

The government move comes amid mounting criticism regarding financial transparency.

Earlier, the government had announced it had spent Rs 10 billion in its fight against Covid 19 pandemic.
