US allows plasma treatment method for corona patients

 

 

 

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has given permission for plasma therapy to treat Covid-19 patients.

Plasma therapy uses blood plasma, which is rich is antibody. The plasma is taken from people who have recovered from the disease.

This method has already been used in 70,000 patients in the USA.

US President Donald Trump has said that this method of treatment reduces death by 35 percent. President Trump spoke about this on the eve of the Republican National Convention.

According to FDA, people under the age of 80 with no respiratory emergency were benefitted by this method of treatment.
