ATM card holders can withdraw cash from any banks for free: NRB

 

Kathmandu:  Now, the customers don’t have to pay extra charges while withdrawing cash from ATM of other banks.

This means, inter-bank ATM transaction are free from now onwards. Nepal Rastra Bank implemented this provision by amending the Unified Directive on Payment System.

The directive mentions that “banks and financial institutions (BFIs) inside the country are not allowed to charge extra amount from any customer for ATM transactions”.

Meanwhile, digital wallets need to clearly inform about the service charge, interest and other extra charges while issuing electronic payment card, the directive mentions.
