Govt preparing to bring chemical fertilizers from Bangladesh

Kathmandu: The government is planning to import 50,000 tons of fertilizers from Bangladesh. Due to the gap in demand and supply of fertilizers during the peak season, the government is taking this strategy.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, the government is planning to bring 40,000 tons of urea from Bangladesh. The ministry said that they are having conversation with Ministry of Agriculture in Bangladesh regarding this issue.

Following informal discussions, Ghanashyam Bhusal, minister for Agriculture, said that he is seeking permission from Prime Minister KP Oli to move forward with this plan.
