Ministry plans to cut down budget for Education sector

Kathmandu: With the approval of virtual education as a formal medium of study, the Ministry of Education is planning to revise the budget for the education sector.

As students don’t need to come to school, the government doesn’t need to invest on lunch, sanitary pads and volunteer teachers. The ministry issued a directive for the provision of an alternative education system.

The budget will be revised accordingly. According to the sources at the ministry, the budget of Rs 19 billion will be revised.
