Government expedites construction of Nijgadh Airport
Kathmandu: The government has been speeding up the construction process of Nijgadh International Airport.
Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai presented a progress report of the airport.
The construction site has a total of 57,350 trees. Similarly, the ministry has to coordinate with the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation regarding the re-settlement of the locals.
Nepal Forest Corporation Limited has already directed the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) to go ahead with the process of cutting trees and road construction in the nearby areas.
Also, the Investment Board has also been continuously interacting with the Zurich International Company regarding the construction.
