Man arrested for misusing social media

District Police Office, Baglung has arrested Chandra Kant Paudel from Baglung Municipality-4 for misusing the social media platform.

Paudel was arrested on the basis of a report filed by correspondent of Avenues Television Rajesh Chandra Bhandari, assistant editor of E-Baglung online Ram Prasad Ghimire and correspondent of Mountain Television Subash Acharya.

Prior to this too, the trio of journalists had filed a case against him for electronic crime. Bhandari filed a case of character assassination against Paudel as he misused the social site platform to tarnish the reputation of various journalists and political leaders.

Recently, Paudel has been posting various status and videos targeting journalists, political party leaders and administrators on Facebook.
