Turkish Airlines to recommence flights to Kathmandu
Turkish Airlines is planning to resume three flights a week to Kathmandu from October.
The airline has been operating one flight a week to Kathmandu since the Government of Nepal opened its airspace for scheduled flights.
“We plan to operate three scheduled flights every week to Kathmandu from Istanbul starting from October. As Nepal is a tourism destination for us, depending on the entry requirements for foreigners and Nepalese living abroad, we will be increasing the flight frequency in the coming months,” informed General Manager of Turkish Airlines Kathmandu, Abdullah Tuncer Kececi.
Turkey has officially reopened its borders to all tourists under normal travel regulations. Since July, an estimated 3 million visitors have already travelled to the country that serves as a bridge between Asia and Europe.
Turkish Airlines has started flying to around 200 destinations safely and hygienically bringing more flexible travel opportunities to its customers. More information on current flight plans and schedules is available on the official website of Turkish Airlines.
