Bandipur now open for tourists
Damauli: Bandipur, a popular tourism destination Bandipur in central Nepal (former Western Development Region), is now ready to welcome tourists. Various associations related to the tourism industry have realized the importance of resuming tourism activities in Bandipur to revitalize the economic activities in the area.
Associations including Bandipur Tourism Development Committee, Regional Hotel Entrepreneurs Association and Tanahun Hotel Industry and Commerce Association expressed their view regarding the need to resume tourism activities amid a program organised on the occasion of the World Tourism Day.
“Tourism is the main source of income in Bandipur. So, we have to resume all the tourism activities now,” said Chairman of Bandipur Rural Municipality Purnashri Thapa. He requested tourists to visit Bandipur as it is safe from coronavirus infection now.
Thapa shared that Bandipur has been focusing on infrastructure development to attract tourists. He said that the local hotel and tourism entrepreneurs should announce special packages to bring tourists in this place.
“The hotel sector has been worst hit by coronavirus. We are ready to help the entrepreneurs to resume tourism,” he said.
Similarly, President of the Regional Hotel Association of Bandipur Bipin Pradhan said that the hotels have already come into operation following all safety protocols. “Now, we need to spread the message that Bandipur is safe for visitors,” said Pradhan.
Similarly, President of Bandipur Community Homestay Committee Dil Kumari Rana said that the rural municipality has to help the hospitality sector to spread message to the tourists that this area has reopened.
Kishan Pradhan, president of Bandipur Tourism Development Committee said that everyone must work to being domestic tourists to this place.
