Bytedance gives out bonuses to Indian employees despite TikTok Ban

Despite a ban in TikTok in India, the parent company Bytedance is giving out cash bonuses up to 1,00,000 to its employees there.

 

The company did an announcement through an internal earlier this month where ByteDance that it will be issuing cash bonuses to its employees to help them to overcome Covid 19 challenges.

 

All the full time ByteDance employees who have worked for more than 26 days between July to August will get bonuses this month.

 

Senior employees will get bonus ranged from 1,00,000 to 4,00,000, according to The Economic Times.

The mid-level staffs will get bonuses of arounf Rs 50,000.

 

ByteDance has given employment to more than 2000 people in India.

 

Indian government banned more than 59 Chinese applications including TikTik and Helo from Bytedance on June 29.
