Fair-price shop for festive season opens from today

Kathmandu: The government has opened fair-price shop from today  for the upcoming the festive season. These stores provide essential foods to the public at a comparatively lower price than the market.

Like in previous years, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies has collaborated with the Food Management and Trading Company (FMTC) and the Salt Trading Corporation to provide the essential goods to the public at affordable rates.

According to the FMTC, the fair-price shops which have come into operation from today will open till the next day of Chhath festival.

Recently, the FMTC has also started online delivery system due to the Covid-19 crisis.
