Google to pay 1 billion dollars to its publishers over next three years for content

 

Google will pay 1billion dollars to its publishers over the next three years for the news and contents.

On Thursday, Google signed agreements for its news partnership with 200 publications in countries including Germany, Brazil, Argentina, Canada, the UK and Australia.

AP news mentions that Google’s news showcase will launch in Brazil and Germany. They will pay publishers package stories with features like timelines. The news will be featured in Android, Apple iOS before rolling out to Google discover and search.

Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai writes in his blog post, “This financial commitment – our biggest to date – will pay publishers to create and curate high-quality content for a different kind of online news experience.”
