FMTC plans to continue home delivery even during festive season

Kathmandu: The Food Management and Trading Company Limited is planning to continue ‘home delivery’ service during Dashain and Tihar festivals.

The company had started home delivery following the lockdown to prevent Covid-19 infection. The number of delivery is less now compared to when there was lockdown. According to Mani Raj Khanal, deputy director general of FMTC, the company used to receive around 60 orders per day during the lockdown period. Now, there are only 8/9 orders in a day, he said.

The company had started home delivery service with a purpose to reach out to the people who are not able to move outside to buy daily essentials.

The consumers will get the essentials at reasonable price even for home delivery.

The company has been selling essential food  at a comparatively less price than the market. The consumers can get rebate up to Rs 5 per kg in every essentials.
