Global Handwashing Day marked today with theme ‘Hand Hygiene for all’

 

Kathmandu: Today is Global Handwashing Day. This day is observed every year on October 15 to raise awareness on the importance of keeping hands clean.

The theme for this year is “Hand Hygiene for all”. This theme is to remind the global community about access and practice of handwashing with soap for now and also for a healthy future.

There are no formal programs being organized on this occasion. On this occasion, President Bidhya Devi Bhandari said that healthy handwashing has to be made accessible to all Nepali citizens. She said that society should raise awareness of the importance of handwashing.
