Kathmandu: Senior leader of Nepali Congress Ram Chandra Paudel has accused the police of high-handedness him while taking him under custody on Wednesday.
He posted on Facebook saying that the high-handedness of police during the arrest left him in great distress and physical pain.
“My ribs are aching more in the evening than during the afternoon after being cornered using police baton,” Poudel said on Facebook, adding, “The excruciating pain is getting worse today.”
The police apprehended Poudel when he was inaugurating a bridge over Buldi River in Vyas Rural Municipality of Tanahun district on December 2. The police reasoned that he was arrested for violating the prohibitory order.
