Moderna’s Corona vaccine getting closer to approval

Agency: A second coronavirus vaccine is nearing emergency approval in the US, according to BBC.

After endorsement by panel of experts, the Food and Drug Administration of the USA said that the agency would move quickly to authorize the Moderna vaccine. The company will be allowed to ship millions of doses of vaccine.

This comes a day after the US began its largest ever immunization campaign after rolling out Pfizer/BioNTech jab.

The death toll in the USA surpassed 300,000 earlier this week.

Earlier, the regulators reported that Moderna vaccine is safe and 94 percent effective.

According to BBC, the US has agreed to purchase 200 million doses.of vaccine

Similarly, six million shots would be ready to ship as soon as the vaccine gets FDA approval.
