Rice supply begins in upper Dolpa in two years
Dolpa: Upper Dolpa has commenced the transportation of food grains after two years. The transportation began by supplying 3,074 quintals of rice from Surkhet for Dolpobuddha, Chharkatangsong, and Shey Phoksundo Rural Municipalities- the rural areas in the upper Dolpa.
Among the total consignment, 440 quintals of rice have reached Dunai. Similarly, Dolpa chief of food management and trade company, Kamal Raj Pande, informed that 100 quintals of rice had reached Dhara village of Chharkatangsong Rural Municipality.
Nearly a thousand quintals of rice were on the way. The food grains were taken to Dunai via land route. Mules were used for ferrying it from Dunai to upper Dolpa, he added.
The rice was taken from Surkhet to upper Dolpa after China blocked the border point through which the rice was imported. Dinesh Construction Company Suppliers of Banke was contracted for the supply. There are thick and jeera masino rice.
