US close on a deal with Pfizer for additional doses

Agency: The US government is close to the deal to acquire tens of millions of additional doses of Pfizer’s vaccine.

According to The Associated Press, Pfizer’s vaccine was first to gain approval from Food and Drug Administration and initial shipments went to states last week.

Now, this vaccine has been joined by Moderna, developed in closer cooperation with scientists from National Institutes of Health.

The government has made effort to bring the Moderna vaccine in its own effort. The effort is named as ‘Operation Warp Speed’.

This public private entity was formed to get millions of vaccine doses ready and available to ship after a shot received with FDA approval.
