Trap set to catch leopards in Anbukhaireni

Damauli (Tanahun). A trap has been set to catch a leopard that was spotted in the market area of Ambukhaireni rural municipality-3 of Tanahun. On Friday, two leopards were seen in a tree at Ambukhaireni Chowk.

The trap was put in place at the initiative the Division Forest Office Tanahun after a leopard was spotted in the market area. Ambukhaireni-3 Ward President Dinesh KC shared that the cages brought by the Forest Office have been placed in the area where leopards have been seen.

Although one leopard ran away immediately the second leopard in around causing panic among the local residents. The fear of leopards has increased in the market area while the ward residents have been asked not to walk alone outside their homes especially during early mornings and evenings, said Ward president KC.
