Environment Minister Shahi and Qatari Foreign Minister’s Special Envoy hold meeting

Kathmandu . Minister for Forests and Environment, Ain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri, and Qatari Foreign Minister’s Special Envoy on Climate Change and Sustainability, Bader Omar Ismail Al Dafa, held a meeting today.

The meeting took place between Minister Shahi and the Qatarai Foreign Minister’s Special Envoy, who arrived here to participate in Sagarmatha Sambaad, at Sambaad venue, according to the Forests Ministry. On the occasion, Minister Shahi shared that long-term strategic partnership could be made between the two countries in the sector of forest and environment, technology transfer, pollution control and innovation.

He mentioned that a letter would be sent within a month to initiate a process to provide two elephants to Qatar as a gift as per Nepal’s earlier commitment. Similarly, the Special Envoy expressed gratitude towards Minister Shahi’s proposal.
