Egg bank for orphanage children and old age homes established

An egg bank was inaugurated recently. Rotary Club of Secunderabad in association with Rotary Club of Thamel started the initiative in Nepal collaborating with Valmiki Foundation.

Valmiki Foundation which had started Egg Bank in 2017 has been spreading this concept all over India and Overseas to supply Eggs to the inmates of NGOs, mentions the press release issued by the Rotary club. The Foundation has been conducting such activities including Cozumel, Mexico and Taiwan.

According to the statement, the goal of the initiative is to provide a nutritious diet to orphanage children and old age homes by providing a sustainable source of protein (eggs) to them each day

The egg bank has started at Destitute and Orphan Children Safeguarding Foundation (DOCS).  With the launch of Egg Bank in Nepal, the local Rotarian will start supporting these NGO kids and old aged Home Inmates by donating Eggs on a regular basis. “This will add nutrition to the diet of these groups,” mentions the statement.
