330 million children are not getting access to distance education: UNICEF

Agency: The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has shared that the formal and regular classes of student have been disrupted globally.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, more than two-third of children have been affected throughout the world. Henrita Fohr, executive director of UNICEF, said that around 330 million children are not able to get access to distance education.

International media have been saying that this situation has to be declared as an emergency in the educational sector.

UNICEF has requested the government of different countries to focus on providing access to all students to distance education.
