Two hotels in Pokhara ready to provide ‘pay isolation’ service
Pokhara: Two hotels in Pokhara have agreed to provide ‘pay isolation’ service. According to the spokesperson of Pokhara Metropolitan Office, Royal Palm Hotel and Hotel Stay have filed application to provide paid service for ‘isolation’ of Covid-19 patients. According to Man Bahadur GC, mayor of Pokhara metropolis, the office had announced for the need of isolation rooms.
The metropolis has prepared a 40-bed isolation ward at Agriculture Training Centre. As this is not enough for the increasing number of cases, we had asked the hotels if they were willing to provide the service, GC said. He said that the metropolitan city office is discussing about the cost for the rooms. Pay isolation was already operational before in collaboration with the metropolitan city office. Around 400 people have used the isolation centre. The Pokhara Metropolitan City has fixed a charge of Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 for the ones who are willing to pay for isolation.
