Property worth Rs 6 million perishes in fire

Inaruwa. Property worth Rs 6 million perished in a fire occurred at Koshi rural municipality-6 of Sunsari district on Thursday.
The fire made to ward off mosquitoes spread to 10 houses in the neighbourhood, turning them into ashes. It caused the loss of some Rs 6 million, according to a local Birendra Kumar Yadav. Those losing houses in the blaze are Babu Nand Goit, Ramanand Ram Yadav, Manoj Yadav, Khushi Lal Goit, and Bijay Goit. Babu Nanda Goit said Rs 100 thousand in cash gutted in fire.
The furniture, jewelries and household materials were destroyed in the blaze, according to Dinesh Adhikari, an assistance spokesperson at the District Police Office. The fire was brought under control by the Nepal Police, the Armed Police and locals. Even a fire engine was used to douse the flame, the police added.
