Transport Management Office distributes all licenses. 1,40,000 licenses yet to distribute

 

Transport Management Office in Ekantakuna has said that it needs to distribute around 1,40,000 driving license.

The Department of Transport Management has printed all the license. The office has been distributing 800 to 2500 licenses every day.

The office had suspended the process of license distribution  for sometimes recently. According to the official they have maintaining safety protocol while distributing the license.

The office has been distributing license and doing the renewal process. However, it has not resumed the process for acquiring new license. According to the office, this service will not resume without permission from provincial government.

The officials said that the new license process has been suspended due to the increasing cases of Covid 19 in Kathmandu.
