Government planning to conduct +2 exams after Dashain

Kathmandu: Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is planning to conduct the exams of class 12 after the Dashain festival. According to Deepak Sharma, spokesperson of the Ministry of Education, the exams will most probably be held immediately after Dashain and before Tihar holidays.

“We are discussing about this schedule but are yet to reach to the decision,” said Sharma during a virtual discussion organized by Nepal Students Union. The students want their exams to be conducted in their own colleges, he said.

“It is not possible for a student to rent a room and come to the exam centre under current circumstances.  So, we have decided to hold the exams in the same institutions where the students are enrolled,” he added.
