Facebook and Worldlink collaborate for internet connectivity in public places
Facebook has announced Express WiFi in Nepal in collaboration with Worldlink.
Worldlink officially announced its collaboration with Facebook through a virtual session on Thursday.
With the Express Wifi, now the people will be able to get Wifi at affordable price and have better quality internet.
Facebook has been collaborating with Internet service providers in different countries for Express Wifi. The service in available in Nepal now.
Express WiFi has been giving free services for limited people. The people who don’t have their own internet service and the tourists can also login using their Whatsapp number.
According to Worldlink, Facebook had started 10,000 free WiFi networks earlier. “Now we have collaborated with Facebook in terms of software to make the system more advanced,” said Samit Jana, CTO of Worldlink.
This service is targeted more towards people who cannot pay high price for the internet service, said Keshav Nepal, CEO of Worldlink.
“In Express Wifi the password gets automatically connected, the quality will be good,” added Nepal.
The company officially started this service since the South Asian Games 2019.
