Prabhu Helicopter operating new chopper from tomorrow
Kathmandu: Prabhu Helicopter is all set to operate As350B3e helicopter from October 10, Saturday.
Novel Kumar Rajlawat, spokesperson of Prabhu Helicopter, said that the new helicopter has received Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).
“This is a new model and it can fly safely up to 23,000 feet,” he said. The total seat capacity the As350B3e helicopter is six.
Although the helicopter arrived on March 24 at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, the certification process was suspended due to Covid-19.
CAAN gave permission for commercial flights on Friday after a successful test flight.
Prabhu Helicopter started its journey in 2015 with one helicopter. Now, it operates a fleet of six helicopters along with this new airbus.
The company has four R-66 helicopters which can fly up to 14,000 feet and R-44 helicopter which can fly up to 10,000 feet.
Prabhu Helicopter will fly on the basis of customers’ booking, said Rajlawat.
The helicopter package includes sight seeing tour to Pokhara, religious packages to Halesi, Gosaikunda, Kalinchowk, Pathibhara and Muktinath temples.
The ticket price for Gosaikunda package is Rs 18,999, he said. Earlier, the helicopter flew till Syangboche. Now, the new helicopter will fly till Everest Base Camp.
