Smart License distribution to be continued from mid-November

Kathmandu: The Department of Transport Management (DoTM) will start distributing smart license from mid-November in Bagmati Province. According to Navin Singh, spokesperson at the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Development, the smart license will be distributed from Hetauda, the capital of Province 3.

The provincial office of DoTM has already distributed 12,545 smart license from mid-July to October 13, said chief of the office Bhakta Bahadur Thapa.

Thapa said that the provincial government will not take any fines till mid-November if anyone have not renewed license or registered vehicles. Apart from the capital, there is lack of human resources in 10 other districts of the province due to which the DoTM is not able to give proper service to the public.
