South Korea to take 52,000 under EPS 2021

Kathmandu: Korea has decided to take 52,000 migrant workers under the Employment Permit System (EPS) 2021.

The number is 4,000 less than last year. Workers from 16 countries including Nepal will be taken to South Korea.

Due to the pandemic,  around 30,909  migrant workers among 56,000 workers were not able to reach Korea.

The workers will work on different sectors including manufacturing, agriculture, fisheries, construction and service sector.

According to the South Korean Government’s Migrant Workers Quota Determination Committee they have fixed 52,000 as quota for migrant workers under EPS.
