Kathmandu: The education sector is in dilemma regarding the opening of educational institutions.

According to the Ministry of Education, it is risky to open educational institutions even in the areas where coronavirus infection is very less.

Spokesperson at the ministry, Deepak Sharma, informed that the ministry can’t give permission to open educational institutions in any areas backtracking from its earlier decision.

Earlier in July, the ministry had decided to allow schools to open and start enrolment from August 17.  But recently, the ministry took back the decision following a rapid increase in number of Covid-19 infection.

SEE result postponed

Though all the documentation works have been completed, Examination Board has postponed the result of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE).

Examination Controller Ram Raj Khakurel said that the result can’t  be published now due to the situation. According to the Board’s President Chandra Mani Paudel, all the works have already completed but the result will not be published immediately.

PABSON President Tika Puri opined that it is a good decision to postpone the date of results.

“Delaying the result is better, as students and teachers will gather in the schools to check the result, causing panic and crowd,” said Puri.
