Insurance Board amends guidelines

Kathmandu: The Insurance Board has amended the guidelines for Covid-19 insurance.  According to the new guidelines, now the insurance companies will have to compensate the people who produce PCR test report prepared by private labs.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, now the infected person can make insurance claim by producing PCR test report conducted at either government or private labs. However, according to the guidelines, the staff who are working in private labs must bring report from another lab.

The Insurance Board has amended the criteria on Sunday.
