WHO fears second wave of Covid-19 in Europe

Agency: Regional director of the World Health Organization (WHO) for Europe has said that the situation of Europe is getting critical every day due to the increasing number of coronavirus cases.

Hans Kluge, regional director of WHO for Europe, said that the number of cases has doubled in last two weeks. Kluge said that there are 3, 00,000 more cases in the UK now during the last week.

He said the cases are rising and the rate of infection is higher than the month of March. The cases are drastically increasing in Spain and France as well.

Most of the youth are affected by coronavirus. He said that the situation would be worst if the elderly people get infected.

According to the WHO, 50,00,000 people have been affected by the virus as of today. Around 2,28,000 people have lost their lives because of the pandemic.
