EU launches ‘mass vaccination’

Agency: European Union (EU) is launching a vaccine rollout to fight COVID 19 from today.

President of EU of Ursula von der Leyen said that Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine had been delivered to all 27 member state member states on Saturday.

EU has so far reported 3, 35,000 COVID related deaths.

More than 14 million people have been infected in the Europe. Most places in Europe are in strict lockdown to prevent the spread of virus, according to the BBC.

Mass vaccination will start in few hours from now, writes BBC.

This decision has come after the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the European Commission authorized the German-US Pfizer –BioNTech vaccine.

According to the BBC, EU has already done contracts for more than two million vaccine doses from a range of drug companies.
