16,000 people benefited from ‘one house, one tap’ programme

Gandaki. Implementation of the ‘one house, one tap’ programme has helped resolve drinking water issue in Rupa Rural Municipality of Kaski.

Vice chairperson of the rural municipality Lal Subba Gurung said that the programme was implemented with support from the federal and provincial governments as well as other social organizations operating in the municipality.

The rural municipality has put forward the process of registering the source of water by formulating a working procedure to make drinking water systematic and sustainable. Eight sources have been registered so far in the municipality so far, he said.
