Covid 19 cases increasing in Delhi due to decreasing temperature

Agency: Coronavirus cases are surging in New Delhi with the dip in temperature and rising air pollution.

The capital city confirmed more than 8,500 cases on Wednesday. This is the highest daily record in the city till now.

Altogether 8,500 deaths were recorded on the same day.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejariwal wrote to the federal government for more beds at government hospitals.

India has the world’s second-highest Covid-19 cases. The cases have been declining overall in India since the middle of September.

The cases dropped by more than 60 percent, even as the testing remained constant.

However, the cases are rapidly rising in New Delhi in recent few weeks.

Delhi has recorded over 450,000 cases till now and among them 42,000 are active cases.
