Hotels to resume from today

 

Kathmandu: Hotels in Pokhara, Chitwan, and Kathmandu will start partial operation from today.  The hotel owners have said that they will start the hotel following the health guidelines.

The hotels are coming into operation after more than four months of lockdown.

According to Binayak Shah, secretary-general of Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN), the hotel will partially because of the risk of corona infection.

Though the five-star hotel won’t open immediately, small and medium enterprises and other tourist hotels will open from today.

Shah said that opening hotel will increase the operational cost rather than making a profit. Hotel Shangri-la will open from today whereas hotel Soaltee and Mariott were opened during the lockdown as well. Five-star hotels are planning to open after the flight resumes from August 17.
