Minister Bhattarai directs NAC to procure a new plane for domestic flights

 

Kathmandu: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has directed Nepal Airlines Corporation to take forward the process of procurement of new aircraft.

Minister Bhattarai has directed NAC to buy aircraft which can fly to mountainous, and other remote hill areas.

He has directed the NAC to procure the aircraft immediately as currently the corporation only has two Twin Otters for domestic flights. These aircraft can’t go to remote areas, he said.

He directed the NAC to cut down the staff outside the country, reduce the meeting allowance, and reduce the facilities of retired staff and board of directors by 50 percent.
