Collateral-free loan for returnee migrant workers in Banke
A rural municipality in Banke has announced collateral-free loan for returnee migrant workers. The scheme has been started in Khajura Rural Municipality of the district with the objective of engaging the youths who have returned from foreign country due to job loss.
According to Kismat Kumar Kakshyapati, chairman of the rural municipality, they have set a target of producing 100 entrepreneurs each year. According to him, they are making preparations for finalizing the work procedure for this plan.
Kakshyapati said that the rural municipal office will be the guarantor for the loan. According to him, the municipality has already started agreement process with Rastriya Banijya Bank and Garima Bikas Bank.
“This program will add fuel to their purpose. Specially, the entrepreneurs who operate small and medium-scale industries will benefit from this program. The banks will provide loans ranging from Rs 1,00,000 to Rs 10,00,000.
